YOGA

The term yoga means ‘union’ in Sanskrit. It is a Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and relaxation. In accordance with the meaning it accommodates the mind, body and spirit in a balanced manner to keep the body fit 24 hours a day. This is the only holistic practice which can change one’s entire lifestyle. Years before even Christ was born, some great men of Indian history discovered yoga but it was not so mannered at that point of time. In the later centuries, yoga gradually got systemized. Beginning with the two codes of conduct called Yama and Niyama, the yoga is self-guided with some other actions called Asana, pranayama which means controlling your breath, Pratyhara which make us aware of our own senses, Dharana builds the concentration and Dhyana which meditates our brain in a well-mannered way and finally Samadhi helps us to realize our own concerns and responsibilities.
